Mountain Dawn Series

This series was shot during a backcountry expedition into the eastern Sierra Nevada — a four-day trip covering significant elevation across varying terrain. The photographs were made in the window between pre-dawn darkness and full sunrise, a period of roughly 20 minutes per morning when atmospheric conditions create light that cannot be replicated later in the day.

The edit emphasizes the quiet, remote quality of high-altitude environments — images with room to breathe and a tonal palette that runs cool to neutral, reflecting the actual temperature and atmosphere of the locations. Several images have been licensed for editorial and outdoor brand use.
